pf-daily-log v1.1 — Superintendent Daily Field Reports

An alternative to Procore and Fieldwire field report modules with a focused Claude plugin for small and mid-size general contractors.

Installation

1. Download the pf-daily-log.plugin file
2. Open Claude Desktop and navigate to Settings > Plugins
3. Click Install Plugin and select the downloaded .plugin file
4. The plugin will be installed and available immediately

Note: All data stays local on your machine. No external API calls or cloud storage required.

What It Does

• Capture daily field logs via freeform notes or structured JSON import
• Generate professional DOCX daily field reports (weather, crew, work, materials, equipment, safety, visitors, delays, photos, legal disclaimer)
• Rollup daily logs into weekly progress summaries
• Track log streaks, missing entries, and project timeline progress

Quick Start

1. Setup: Run /daily-setup to initialize your project workspace
2. Log daily: Run /daily-log to capture field notes (freeform — just talk)
3. Generate: Run /daily-generate to create a DOCX report
4. Weekly rollup: Run /daily-weekly once you have a week of logs
5. Dashboard: Run /daily-status to see your log streak and project summary

Known Limitations

1. No photo embedding: Photos are logged by filename and description only — user must attach actual photos separately to the DOCX or email
2. No blueprint/plan reading: Claude cannot read CAD files or blueprints; location descriptions must be provided in text notes
3. No live weather API: Weather conditions must be entered by the superintendent — Claude does not fetch weather data automatically
4. Not an official AIA document: Reports use AIA-adjacent formatting but are NOT licensed AIA contract documents; a legal disclaimer is included on every report
5. No RFI/submittal integration: RFI and submittal tracking must be managed in a separate system; reference by number in notes only
6. Single project per workspace: One project.json per folder; for multiple projects, use separate workspace folders
